The Community Home for Seniors Project represents a solution for an environment catering to the needs and comfort of the elderly. The proposed community home integrates elegant architectural design with practical and functional arrangements for 25 housing units. This project focuses on creating an environment that supports independence, community interaction, and ensures ample comfort for its residents.
Urbanistic and Architectural Solution
The space surrounding the building is planned with consideration for convenient access from the west, complemented by a parking area and a public space featuring benches and trees. The building itself is designed in a U-shape, creating an inner courtyard with semi-private spaces for residents. The façade combines gray and brown plaster in recessed areas on the terraces, and a white line runs along the entire building.
Layout and Housing Units
Altogether, 25 barrier-free housing units are designed for two residents with three fundamental types of layouts. Living spaces are oriented towards the south, east, and west, ensuring maximum daylight and comfort for residents.
Shared Spaces
Within the community home, shared spaces such as a multipurpose hall, kitchenette, social amenities, cleaning storage, a room for games, and other areas are situated, fostering an active and communal life for seniors.
This project represents the fusion of aesthetics and practicality, creating a balanced environment for the older generation. We believe that the Community Home for Seniors is an example of how architecture can positively impact people’s lives and create an environment that supports their health, comfort, and community.
